HARBORVIEW HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER APRIL 2009
Message from the President
Hi Neighbors, Another year is beginning with new Board members and new responsibilities.
First, the new board members are Shirley Western and Darren Beard. Nancy and Dan are no longer on the Board and we wish them well and good luck in their new pursuits. Shirley has taken over the duties as Secretary and the Board elected me President to take over from Dan. Dan left some big shoes to fill and I will do my best to serve the Board and Homeowners in that capacity.
The pool will be opening soon. Craig will be responsible for the pool keys. Darren will be responsible for shelter reservations, please contact him by his phone number listed on the web site www.harborviewhoa.org.
We have a bid for the Children’s wading pool. Comments and suggestions can be made via e-mail, letter, or calling me. Leave a message on my phone.
If you know of any new neighbors, please let me know so I can meet them and welcome them to Harborview.

The rules are posted at the shelter house, on the website and on the bulletin board at the pool.
To arrange for a reservation contact Director Darren Beard either by email or at (816) 873-0071. You may also reserve online through our website.
CHILDREN’S POOL ESTIMATE—PLEASE RESPOND At our annual HOA meeting in January, a request was made to consider adding a children’s wading pool to our pool area. We have contacted two companies who have given us estimates from $25,000 to $35.000. Estimates are based on a concrete pool, a separate filtration system and a fence around the whole area. This is with the idea that it would be connected to the current pool area (north and west) and would be accessed via the current card entry gate. Please contact President Duane Garmeson with your opinion on this addition.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We need volunteers to help spread playground chips that will be dumped at the playground. We also need volunteers to help with repair of the pool house siding. If you can be available please contact Facilities Director Norm Hutcheson (816) 532-0534 for more information and possible work dates.
