HARBORVIEW HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER
APRIL 2010

Message from the President

Hi Neighbors,

Another year is beginning with new Board members and new responsibilities.

First, the new board members are Sue Thompson and Cathy Martine. Shirley and Norm are no longer on the Board and we wish them well and good luck in their new pursuits. Darren has taken over the duties as Secretary, Sue is now responsible for covenant enforcement and Cathy has taken over Facilities from Norm.

Work has started on the pool renovation. We expect it to be ready for opening on Memorial Day weekend. Craig will be responsible for the pool keys. Darren will be responsible for shelter reservations. Please contact either of them by the phone numbers listed below or on the web site www.harborviewhoa.org.

Comments and suggestions can be made via e-mail, letter, or calling me. Leave a message on my phone (585-7497).

We are having a lot of new families moving into the community. If you see someone moving in, please stop by and welcome them to Harborview. Have a great summer!

Duane

POOL – KEYCARDS

The keycards provide Harborview residents access to the pool provided dues for the property have been paid. As a reminder, only the key registered to the household will be active. If you report a lost keycard, it will be de-activated and will not provide access. If you have lost your keycard, contact Treasurer Craig Mattke by email or at (816) 532-9293. Replacement cards are $10. Please allow 2-5 days for processing when requesting a pool keycard.

POOL OPENING/RULES

The pool is scheduled to open May 29rd. Hours will be 9:00am to 10:00pm. The pool provides a source for recreation and enjoyment for all homeowners. Unfortunately over the past few years, we have had issues at the pool which have created an undesirable atmosphere for our residents and caused damages to the facilities. Most of the issues stemmed from non-residents being allowed to enter the pool area by residents already inside the pool area (opening the door for those without a key).

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Any Harborview resident or their family member who provide unauthorized access to the pool is subject to the loss of pool privileges for the remainder of the season.

Each homeowner has the right and responsibility to assist in the enforcement of the pool rules. Please see www.harborviewhoa.org for more details regarding pool rules.

PICNIC SHELTER

Our shelter house is available on a first come, first served basis for your use. New to the website for 2010 is a Picnic shelter reservation calendar. You may preview the available dates prior to completing the reservation form. Note: website calendar is for planning purposes only. Contact Darren Beard to confirm shelter availability. When reserved, a notice will be posted at the shelter.

Picnic area rules are posted at the shelter house, on the website and on the bulletin board at the pool.

To arrange for a reservation contact Darren Beard either by email or at (816) 873-0071. You may also reserve online through our website.

  • large pieces of glass need to be broken down and boxed
  • tires must be off the rims, and no more than four per household.
