AUGUST 2006
RECOGNITION OF OUR TROOPS AT WAR
Many of us are united in daily prayer for our troops at war: men and women who have been called to serve our country and who have been deployed overseas or within the U.S or in support of others who have been deployed. We have become aware that we have families within our community who have made or are making this sacrifice. We wish to thank them for their service to all of us in support of our country. If there are any families needing assistance around their homes due to the deployment of a family member, please contact Dan Thompson who will make every attempt to co-ordinate a team of volunteers to meet the need. If you wish to volunteer, please contact Dan.
POOL
We are happy to report that the pool opened promptly, but we are sad to report that we have had several acts of vandalism. Unfortunately replacing items stolen and destroyed as well as paying for clean-ups costs each one of us because it comes from our dues. If you see suspicious activity in and around the pool area after hours, please report it to the police.
Bike racks are being installed at the pool. Thanks to young Mr. Beard for that suggestion.
POOL KEYS
For those of you who have not yet picked up your pool key, please call Dan Thompson after 6:00 P.M. to arrange an appointment to pick up your key.
ADULT SWIM NIGHTS
Our response to the Adult Swim on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM has been very low. For this reason we have discontinued the Adult Swim on Wednesday nights. We will continue to reserve 8:00 to 10:00 on Monday nights for adults over 18 for the rest of this season. However unless usage increases, we may decide to discontinue Adult Swim completely next year to allow full usage by all homeowners.
YOUTH NIGHT
We are considering hosting a Youth Night at the pool. There will be a clipboard at the pool for young people to sign if they have any interest. If we determine that we would have sufficient participation, we will be the parents to host the event.
PICNIC SHELTER HOUSE
Our picnic shelter house has been built and tables and grills are being installed. We have some finishing work to do (mostly painting) and need volunteers for help.
We wish to offer special thanks to Norm Hutcheson our Board Member in charge of facilities for his tireless effort in making this shelter house a reality. THANK YOU, NORM!!

HARBORVIEW NEEDS YOU!!!!
One of our board members finds that his other commitments will prevent him from continuing to serve. We need someone who is interested in preserving our property values and maintaining the quality of our community.
Please contact any board member if you have an interest.
